Other ways you can help
Monetary Donation-
Contributions to our general fund support different needs.
This can go toward emergency assistance, other needs as we become aware of them, as well as items based
on priority at the moment.

Pledges-
Making a long-term pledge enables donors to give more than would be possible with a single donation.
Invite us to share about our projects and the people we serve-
Organize a presentation to your religious organization, service club, business association, and friends that we
may tell you about the people we are serving. We will share their stories and provide pictures and slides for you to
see how our efforts have enriched their lives.
Tell others about us-
Talk to your family and friends about the work we are doing and encourage them to tell others as well. You can also
direct people to our website. Not only does this inform people of the difference we are making, but gives them an
opportunity to do the same. You can help by connecting us to people you know in organizations, businesses, and
corporations who may be interested in partnering with us.
Honor someone special in your life-
Honor a friend or someone in your family by giving a gift in their name. One way is to pay tribute to a family member
or friend who had served in Vietnam.
Organize a Fundraising Event-
Organize an event to raise funds with your schools, service clubs, religious organizations, business associates, or
friends. Let’s encourage our youth to get involved to show them and the rest of the world what they can accomplish
when given the opportunity. Here are some simple ideas for fundraising: car wash, bake sale, yard sale, walk-a-thon,
collecting coins, etc. For birthdays, anniversaries, or other holidays, you can ask that a donation be made to our
organization instead.
Leaving a Legacy-
Make a bequest in your will and name us as your beneficiary. This is a unique way you can carry on your values
and continue the progression of TSIO current and future projects.
Giving through the Work place or Corporate Sponsorship-
A partnership with TSIO will benefit your organization in different ways. Your involvement will show that your
company is socially conscious and cares about the world around them. A 2004 Cone Corporate Citizenship Study
showed that eight out of ten Americans say their trust in a company increased with that company’s corporate support
of causes. A corporation’s involvement in humanitarian efforts can also help promote employee morale. Not only are
you partnering for a great cause and making a difference, you will be gaining respect for your organization.
Make a Matching Gift-
Show your employees that you care about their interests by matching gifts from them.
Encourage giving in the workplace-
Offer your staff the opportunity to become a sponsor for one of our projects. They can be involved in an individual
or group sponsorship. This can be a way to recognize your employees charitable efforts.
Start a Staff /Company Fundraiser
To encourage team spirit, a staff fundraising activity can be organized. This can generate a sense of common goals
and mutual pride for contributing to a worthy cause. It can also bring about goodwill with your customers, suppliers
and the local community.
Donate Services and In-Kind Gifts-
Your can support us by offering services or products free of charge or at a discounted rate. Some things that would
be helpful are legal services, skills training, gift of printing, computer assistance, web-design, frequent flyer miles,
and event support (venue, catering, entertainment, etc.) You could also contribute to our medical shipments by
donating medical equipment or connect us with someone who can. Every bit counts and every penny we save can go
directly to helping the people we serve instead.
